I was hoping something would come from this effort. I guess all those TGB members claiming to be close to a softsled solution were just jerking us around.
WRK
I was hoping something would come from this as well. I created the site hoping to create some excitement about a softsled solution, but for whatever reason it hasn't drawn in any real developers. I am just looking forward to the version 2 extenders :).
P.S. You can blame Micro(no)soft(sled) as much as you can TGB members overhyping their abilities, because there is no way anyone can convince me that Microsoft was not capable of producing softsled. They simply chose to withhold what they knew the community wanted. That is really irritating to me. I would have even been happy if they saw how much the community wanted softled and decided to release it for a price. However, I just feel like they turned their nose up to us and said, "nahh, we are not gonna release it." Believe me, when there is another alternative that competes with Windows Media Center, and offers a solution like softsled, I will use it.
Alot of people would like to see this project move ahead, but we are lacking either one of two things - 1) money, or 2) programmers. Not sure which one is more important, but both are lacking :).
Maybe...

Casey,
