Turn your windows smartphone into an "IPhone"

This post really saddens me. I never thought I would have to mention the word "IPhone" on this site.

The above is just a little humor. I really think that Apple has done a great job with the IPhone. It really raises the bar for cell phone manufacturers.

Anyway, I ran across a nice little post over at lifehacker today about how to turn your Windows smart phone into an IPhone look a like.

I know it's not Softsled related, but hey the news is pretty slim these days concerning that subject.

I thought the mod was really neat. It almost inspires me to get a Windows smart phone.

The easy method starts with a skin which can be downloaded here.
You will also need the slide to lock application.
The somewhat harder but more complete hack instructions can be downloaded here.

Check out lifehackers post about this for more information.

Would you do this with your Windows smartphone?

How cool is that?

Pretty insane. Are there many Windows Mobile smartphones with touch pads capable of this. Presumably it won't do multi-touch, etc? I'm not a hardware guy, so I haven't got a clue what is out there, save for the iPhone in my pocket.

Multi-touch??

You are asking the wrong guy about multi-touch :). I just thought it was a cool thing to do with a smartphone. If I didn't mind switching to AT&T I might get an Iphone as well. They look sweet.

HP PALM..

Nothing is impossible in the breakthrough of technology. There are many things that were been invented.Apple really made a difference when it comes to iphone.Supposing that the merger is authorized by all parties involved HP, the recognized computer manufacturer, can be buying out Palm. The HP Palm merger gives the computer company the chance to enter the mobile phone market with the technology from the Palm Smartphone. We all know the industry is already dominated by many cell phone companies for instance Nokia and Samsung, so with HP being behind the Palm name, they might just give the others a run for their cash. The iPhone has become extremely popular for years, but during the last few months, so numerous other phones have been being introduced to the market that Apple might need to come up with something better. Good luck HP.
